Thank you so much Don, as I read those beautiful lyrics it brought back so many memories of my first spiritual parents in the Lord. I can hear my former pastor’s voice as he sang the beautiful tune across the pulpit “Praising my Savior, all the day long, This is my song, Praising My Savior, all the day long.” Thanks Again Don ! You just lifted my day, Praise Him !

Linden,
First of all I want to thank you for your article on tithing, I first learned of tithing when I gave my life to Christ in 1974. I sat under a great man of God, David F. Gray on the west coast in San Diego. I can still hear his boisterous voice preaching on tithing; ‘Will a man rob God ? ” (Malachi 3:8).
(Vrs.-10) “Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.” I remember saying to myself “WOW, God himself saying “Prove me!” if I will not pour you out blessings that you can contain !” If I have learned anything about giving-its this: You cannot out-give God!. God has always provided for me and kept me in every way, like the first scripture in the 23 Psalms (The Lord is my shepherd-I shall NOT WANT !) When a new babe in Christ learns the basic fundamentals of tithing
he or she will start experiencing more and more of the abundant life provided to them by God Himself !

It took me too long of a time to realize how our financial and debt entanglements reduce our ability to give and reduce our ability to trust, obey and more fully depend upon God’s goodness and provision. We miss out on so much as a result of our later realized efforts to dig our way out of the holes we put ourselves in. Thanks for sharing your post.
