Dear friend,
I believe in the power of prayer. I believe that we are called to prayer for our faith family and those who don’t know Jesus in all of His beauty. Please leave your prayer or praise request and let me know if I can share your situation anonymously (or publicly) with my fellow prayer warriors. Let us be reminded of Jesus’ simple but profound words in the Sermon on the Mount that include The Model Prayer:
‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one.’
For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive mentheir sins, your Father will not forgive your sins” (Matthew 6:7-15).
Grace and peace to you!
Linden

Hi Linden,
I would appreciate if you would pray for me to stand strong in the truth and to not let my circumstance distract me from the work Christ has called me to do. I need to keep my eyes on God and be made strong by his power not my own. I sometimes forget that.
Thank you for your prayers!

Hey Marianne! Of course I’m praying for you – have been and will continue. I appreciate your desire to stand for the truth coupled with your sensitive heart. His followers don’t always agree but unfortunately some of that can be more about suppressed rage than really what they think is right. I know that I need to be reminded that we are called to “speak the truth in love.” And as we all know, that’s a difficult balance sometimes.
Peace to you, my friend!

Hi,
I am requesting prayer. I have called myself a Christian for over 20 years but have constantly had struggles with sins particularly sexual lusts, selfishness, etc. I want to finally serve the Lord and follow him the way I should have all these years. I have confessed my sins, I have prayed to receive the Holy Spirit and I am serious. I continue to have what seems to be a wall between me and the Lord and of course it gets stronger after falling to these sins. Believers should not live like this especially with sexual sins, etc. I know we can fall short but we should be overcoming more and more. I have a lot of condemnation for my past sins because I committed them knowing what the Lord thinks of them. Thank you for your help. The Lord bless you!

Michael,
You have been added to our prayer list. I appreciate you being transparent enough in your pursuit of His kindom and His righteosuness that you would allow us to intercede on your behalf. Trust me, I’m all too familiar with the difficulties that we face in trying to be obediant and not fall into sin over and over again. It reminds us of the influence of our flesh and that we were born with a bent towards transgression and rebellion. When I struggle in these areas (and I certainly do), it helps me to ponder that it is not so much about what I am doing but what Jesus has already done! Focusing on Him (see Hebrews 12:1-3) allows me to draw on His strength and sustinance and rely on the Holy Spirit in my battle with sin. The good news is that, even as wayward children, His love draws us home and we can rest in that He proclaimed our salvation complete when He said, “It is finished!” I pray that you surrender to Him instead of struggle on your own – knowing that the ability to please Him lies solely in His power and purpose. Just keep seeking and trusting Him – focusing on Him keeps our hearts and mind in a state better prepared to deal with the onslaught of temptation and the raging guilt when we fail.
Bless you, my friend!
